SECTION 1 DIRECTIVE STATEMENT

1.1. The name University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) should remain unchanged in all publications.

SECTION 2 SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY

2.1. This directive applies to all investigators responsible for research activities at the UM6P.

SECTION 3 PURPOSE

3.1. This directive provides the naming convention to be used by all investigators to ensure consistency and recognition of UM6P in publications.

SECTION 4 PROVISIONS AND GUIDELINES

4.1. All publications, including journal articles, conference papers, theses, dissertations, and other scholarly works, must adhere to this naming convention.

4.2. Avoid abbreviations, unofficial acronyms, or variations of university names. Only the approved French or English names are permitted.

4.3. When collaborating with external co-authors or institutions, researchers should ensure that the university’s name is accurately and consistently represented in all joint publications and documents.

4.4. When publishing, adhere to the following naming convention for UM6P, using either the French or English version of the name, to ensure consistency and avoid numerous variations in the representation of UM6P:

• French : Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P), Maroc, Nom de département, sous-département ou research program (le cas échéant);
• English: University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P), Morocco, Name of department, And sub-department or research program (when applicable).
